Guide to European Mobility Week 2025 Events

European Mobility Week 2025 is rapidly approaching. From September 16-22, hundreds of Italian and European cities will dedicate seven days to promoting more sustainable transport modes, culminating with World Car-Free Day on September 22. This year’s theme, “Mobility for everyone”, focuses on inclusivity and accessibility of urban mobility.
Unfortunately, there is no official calendar that collects the numerous initiatives.
We have therefore compiled our own list of events, identifying some initiatives particularly relevant for Mobility Managers and sector professionals that deserve attention.

Key Events for Mobility Management Professionals
Bologna: Airport Accessibility and Intermodality (September 16)
The “Wings and Pedals” event organized by FIAB and Bologna Airport addresses an often overlooked issue: bicycle accessibility to airports. Perugia: City Flows and Mobility Inequalities (September 19)

Rome: A Comprehensive Program for Inclusive Mobility
Rome Capital presents a particularly rich calendar with over 50 events distributed from September 14-24, focusing on the theme of inclusivity and accessibility. Bergamo: Cycling Mobility Festival (September 16-22)
Bergamo proposes a rich program of cycling events that include:

World Car-Free Day: Beyond Symbolism
On September 22, various Italian companies demonstrate how to transform a symbolic anniversary into concrete action:
Naples: NHP S.r.l. - “Car Free Day: changing paths, together”
NHP joins the European Car Free Day by involving employees and managers who will leave their private cars to reach the company by bike, public transport, or electric car pooling. The initiative demonstrates that changing daily habits means improving not only the environment and health, but also relationships: more meetings, more dialogue, more community.
Alessandria: Ecourier SC and Gsped SC
Ecourier SC and Gsped SC launch a structured internal campaign to promote more sustainable mobility habits. Employees will be invited not to use their private cars on September 22, demonstrating how companies can be agents of change in urban mobility.
Bellaria Igea Marina: Mobility Pentathlon
The Mobility Pentathlon, organized by AMODO and Italia Nostra, proposes an innovative format that integrates five alternative transport modes: train, local public transport, walking by the sea, bicycle, and boat. Brescia: Brescia Bike Fest

Caserta: Roller Day
ASD Hermes Roller organizes Roller Day in Via Unità d’Italia, proposing a further alternative to cars and bicycles through the use of skates, rollerblades, scooters, and skateboards.
